Diet pills are the #1 choice for weight loss these days. And for good reason. They work and they work well. But who in their right mind would take a product that could burn or even kill?
Answer: Anyone serious about losing weight. That's right... your diet pill should be able burn (fat) and kill (appetite). Yes I know, I know- not exactly what you were expecting. But the truth of the matter is if you've considered dieting via a pill you need to know what works and what doesn't.
What works- a combination of fat fighting ingredients. A good product will include more than just one ingredient. If you want maximum results from your supplement, it needs to work in more than one way. There are 3 common methods "diet formulas" take...
1. Burn Fat - this is the most common method. A great way to get rid of existing fat. Epehdra (now banned) was once the top choice for burning fat. Now the industry has moved toward Caffeine to achieve the desired results.
2. Kill Appetite - If you're not hungry, you eat less. Less food equals less chance of putting on the calories. Adipex and Hoodia gordonii are popular choices for this concept.
3. Block Fat - Least popular method but still effective. Comes with certain undesirable side effects occasionally- such as loose stools and/or oily gas. Yeah, I don't care for this method either. Orlistat, Xenical and Alli are some examples that use fat blocking properties.
What doesn't work- products with over inflated claims as well as most formulas that only include one ingredient. You may be able to lose a couple of pounds with something like this but not much more in the long run.
Now as I was saying before- the best of the best will incorporate at least 2 of the 3 methods (preferably the first two). Some brands that do that include Hydroxycut (with hoodia), Lipo 6, and Fenterdren. Unfortunately they are very strong and are not for everybody.
