4. About 3 Hours Before Bed, Eat Something: Having a nighttime snack about 2 to 3 hours before bed is as specific as anyone can get. Think about it this way: if you had dinner at 6pm, went to bed at 11pm, and woke up at 7:30Am, that's more than 12 hours without eating a thing!

This will inevitably cause your body to shoot out internal stores of glucose, potentially making you hyperglycemic during the night.

Hookworm infection, the presence of hookworms in the intestine, is very common in humans, especially in tropical climates. There is a difference, however, between hookworm infection and hookworm disease: a few hookworms generally do not cause any symptoms or illness in a human host, whereas large numbers of the worms cause hookworm disease.

In order to understand the symptoms of hookworm disease, it's important to understand how hookworm infection occurs (hookworm lifecycle). You do not catch this parasite through direct contact with another infected human. Rather, you pick it up when your skin comes in contact with soil contaminated with the feces of an infected person. Hookworm larvae, the stage that infects people, are present in warm moist soil where an infected person has defecated outside on the ground.

Hookworm larvae do best in loose soil that contains plenty of organic material. They don't do well in dry sandy soils, or soils that contain a lot of clay, and they don't develop at temperatures below about 17 degrees Celsius. Freezing kills them. Because they are so sensitive to cold temperatures, hookworms are basically confined to warm climates and to warm microclimates such as soil inside mines. Hookworm infection does not occur in temperate northern and southern climates.

When human skin comes in contact with live hookworm larvae in soil, the larvae penetrate the skin and start to migrate. If there are a lot of them, there may be a skin reaction, and inflammation where they penetrate the blood vessels. The body's immune system causes this inflammation as it tries to kill the larvae. Hookworm infection may end at this stage, if the immune system is successful; larvae that survive get carried off to the heart and lungs. In the lungs, large numbers of larvae can cause the first serious sign of hookworm disease.

Hookworm larvae break out of blood vessels into the alveoli of the lungs (the sac-like spaces that fill with air when you breath in). Each larva breaking through causes a tiny bit of bleeding into the lungs. A few larvae won't even be noticed, and massive numbers breaking out at once are rare, but when it does happen, a pneumonia-like illness occurs. From the lungs, the larvae travel up the windpipe to the throat and then down through the stomach to the intestine, where they grow to adult worms. At this stage, they may cause abdominal pain and diarrhea.

Again, a couple of dozen hookworms in the intestine is a light infection that won't cause any symptoms; up to 100 worms will cause mild hookworm disease, while hundreds will seriously compromise host health, and thousands may kill. Serious symptoms of chronic (ongoing) hookworm disease include stunted growth, anemia, weakness, fatigue, protein deficiency, and learning impairment. If we respond this way, we refuse to put forth the effort to create a false self that is more socially acceptable. This shame drives us into isolation. We don't have broken relationships, we have no real relationships at all. We keep our walls tall and thick and refuse to let others in. Often isolation results in deeper shame and addictive responses to loneliness and bitterness.

Andy Comiskey, in his curriculum entitled "Living Waters" says that "man out of fellowship with God bends toward men." Some people, particularly those who tend to blame other people for their brokenness (others-contempt), turn toward narcissism. Since they cannot trust anyone, they will only trust themselves. If we respond this way, we create an image of ourselves that we can hide behind and through which we can interpret life. Relationships are all for the purpose of benefiting us. We struggle with authority because the rules of others do not always benefit us (It's not fair!). This narcissism is not always driven by self-love, but often by a deep self-hatred that is masked by the false self of narcissism. Relationships usually do not last or do not become deep because the we are so self-focused and self-protective that we cannot genuinely care about others.

Still others, particularly those who tend to blame themselves for their brokenness (self-contempt), turn toward relational idolatry or co-dependency which we described in a previous chapter. "In short, idolatrous relationships are based on the belief that another person can really make one whole." If this is the way we respond to our sin and wounds, we believe that we are weak and that we need another to lean in to, to fix or to take care of (the false self). Our relationships are imbalanced and may even end up abusive. We may believe that, because of our sin and wounds, we don't deserve to be treated well anyway. The unresolved shame can even convince us that we deserve the abusive treatment and we continue in difficult relationships and lose a sense of who we really are. Many times the idolatrous relationship turns strongly to the sexual aspect. Meeting someone else's sexual needs gives a sense of power that the powerless person desperately needs. This can lead to an addictive, never satisfied sexual addiction with no regard for health or self.

Whether we lean toward isolation, narcissism or relational idolatry, the fact is that authentic community, the kind we were created to experience, is not realized. This is why choosing community is a life choice, it moves us back into the direction of intimate relationship with God.

The first step in the direction of genuine community is confession. Not confession to God, which was part of choosing honesty, choosing forgiveness and choosing surrender. This time we are confessing to our brothers and sisters, our fellow strugglers, the members of our potential community. Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a man deeply committed to God and community writes, "A man who confesses his sins in the presence of a brother or sister knows that he is no longer alone with himself; he experiences the presence of God in the reality of another person." Sin demands isolation so while living in unconfessed sin, true community is not experienced. Confession, transparency, accountability, these are the watchwords of true community. Scripture clearly instructs us to "...confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed."

After the initial confession, a choice to be honest with the members of the community seals the bond of intimacy. As you become real with one another in community that is founded upon intimate communion with God, iron sharpens iron. You learn and grow from the strengths and weaknesses of the others in community. The honesty with which you approach each other in community and the time that you spend together forms a bond and begins to communicate God's unconditional love through human mouths and hands. This is experiencing life together. This is what you were created to experience!

It's ironic, because millions of marketing dollars are spent telling us that a diet is exactly what we should do. The truth is, we know that diets don't work. When you can listen to yourself you can learn from yourself. You can learn to identify when you are hungry and when you are full. You can learn to identify what you are really hungry for-whether it is hunger for food or for something else. When you learn how to listen to yourself appropriately, and when you have the tools, you can tell-and you only get this from listening to yourself-what tool you need to get you through the spot you are in.

Diets don't teach us to listen to ourselves. Diets tell us what to do. Diets don't help you to be in touch with your body or your feelings. They don't help you learn about your unique individual needs and preferences. The truth is, there is no one truth that works for everybody all the time. Diets, because they externally prescribe a way of eating without considering who we are, actually put us more out of touch with our body, our appetites and our needs. Diets themselves can create a whole tangled web of complications. Lots of people who have dieted for years (and are still struggling with their weight by the way), tell me they no longer have any idea whether they are really hungry or full. They've been trying to eat the way someone told them to for so long, they are out of touch with themselves.

There are ways to overcome emotional eating. And there are ways to lose weight and keep it off. The first step to success is realizing that dieting isn't one of those ways.

It has long been believed that cancer is much different from all the other disease. Cancer is suppose to be like a fire, once it has started it can not be stopped. That is why we have to cut out the cancer, radiate it or kill it chemically, since the cancerous cells in the body will never turn back to normal. But in fact this assumption is not true at all.

All cancers are similar and are caused by a single parasite called the human intestinal fluke, according to Hulda Regehr Clark. If the parasite is killed then the cancer stops and cells become normal again. This parasite usually lives in the intestine where it might do little harm, causing irritable bowel syndrome, colitis, Crohn's disease, or absolutely nothing. But this parasite can do a lot of harm if it invades some other organ liver, kidney or the uterus.

It causes cancer if it establishes itself in the liver. The parasite only establishes itself in the liver in some people. These people have isopropyl alcohol in their bodies. All cancer victims have both intestinal fluke and isopropyl alcohol in their liver. In order to get cancer, one must have both the parasite and isopropyl alcohol in the body.

The scientific name for the human intestinal fluke is Fasciolopsis buskii. Flukes are one of the families of flatworms. The parasite has been studied since at least 1925, so it is not unknown. The parasite has many different stages it has to go through in order to keep reproducing. The first is the egg stage. Adult parasites can actually produce millions of these eggs. They pass out of us with the bowel movement. The adult, though, stays tightly stuck and causes many diseases that depend on the location of the parasite.

The tiny sores that we sometimes get with little lesions in our intestines from time to time allow the eggs to be pulled into the blood stream. Some of these eggs hatch in the blood or intestine. The microscopic hatchlings are the second stage and called miracidia. The liver of course will kill them as the blood arrives from the intestine. The parasites have little chance against normal healthy people.

But if isopropyl alcohol is in the body the liver is unable to trap and kill these tiny fluke stages. This allows them to make their home in the liver and other tissues. They starts to multiply in people with isopropyl alcohol in their body. The miracidia then start to make little balls inside themselves, called redia. Each redia (ball) is alive and pops itself out of the miracidia to reproduce itself in turn. 40 redia can each make 40 more redia! All this can come out of one single egg.

These redia are go along in your blood, landing in whatever tissue lets it in. Breasts with benign lumps, smokers' lungs, prostate glands full of heavy metals are examples of tissues that can let these redias in. They multiply very quickly nesting in the liver and other organs and then they change their shape sprout a tail and start swim again. These are called cercaria.

After the cercaria finds a place to attach itself, their tails disappear and they start to grow a "cocoon". Now they are called metacercaria. They develop an extremely thick shell around them. The solvent isopropyl alcohol in your body dissolve this tough shell. When the shell is gone they grow into adult flukes in your cells that are dying and organs that are damaged provide food for the baby stages.

All the stages of the parasite are eating and sucking and devouring your vital body fluids. When you have adult human intestinal fluke parasites in your liver, a growth factor that is called ortho-phospho-tyrosine emerge. This growth factor makes cells divide. Then your cells start to divide as well and this means cancer.

We see that humanity was given the authority to rule the Earth. Ancient writings from the prophet Isaiah state, "How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations (Isaiah 14:12)."

Conflict in the spiritual realm between God and Lucifer (Satan) instituted a monumental earthly struggle. It is my assumption that every earthly leadership situation has become subservient to this eternal struggle.

  • 2 hours after lunch a small snack
  • 5:00- 6:00 supper
  • 2 hours after supper if not too close to bedtime then another small snack

Following an example like the one above will not leave your child hungry and they will have plenty of energy. Now this does not mean that you feed your child cookies and chips for snacks. You need to give them fresh fruit and vegetables. Something low in calories and fat.

I have four children with three of them being slim and one who is not, this makes her feel very bad about herself. Children that are overweight fall prey on others whom like to pick on them causing low self esteem and other problems. This is heartbreaking for parents as well. We feel like we have to help but do not know how.

I figure as the obesity rates continue to climb, the way we eat in my house one of my other children was bound to become overweight or obese as time went on.

I was taught to make meat, potatoes, veggie, and bread at each meal. This was the way I grew up and it is supposed to be healthy according to Grandma and Mom. This was obviously going to have to change. I do not want my kids to take that habit on with them now that I know that it is not the healthiest way to eat.

I could only find fat camps and schools to put her in. Well this is absolutely out of the question for me. I am not sending my child off somewhere just because she is overweight. I love her with all my heart and I am keeping her.

After much searching I came across a perfect program for my entire family that had no revolving costs and was in my budget. At $60.00 I felt that it was well worth it for the health of my family. We have only just begun to use the program but I can tell you it is worth every penny.

The diet generator is the best thing ever. It plans my meals for me and gives me a grocery list of what I need to make the meals. If there is something that we do not like or do not want to try then I just substitute it with something else healthy from the generator. And if I have any questions I just go to the support forum with others going through the same thing.
