Fast Fat Loss - The Dangers of Diet Pills

Fast Fat Loss - The Dangers of Diet Pills

It seems like everyone these days is looking for miracle pills or fast fat loss programs. After all it is a multi million dollar industry. People are willing to spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars on trying to lose weight quickly.

They know that we are desperate and want fast fat loss now. We may have a wedding coming up. A big vacation at a tropical resort. The summer beach season is fast approaching. There are a million reasons why we want to look our best.

But should we be trying to lose weight so fast? Is fast fat loss dangerous? The danger really lies in the pills that are supposed to give us these quick results. If you ever read the fine print on the advertisements, most will say something to this effect:

"The statements and claims made in this advertisement have not been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration".

A bit scary if you ask me. The FDA is not required to approve diet pills before they are released to the public. Unbelievable, but true. Why then, do millions of people still buy and ingest these potentially dangerous pills? The answer was stated above - We're all looking for something that is supposed to be a quick fix for our problems.

The Dangers of Diet Pills

Here is a list of the known side effects from weight loss and diet pills for fast fat loss. You could experience any of the following conditions:

  • High blood pressure
  • Heart attack
  • Headaches
  • Stroke
  • Heart palpitations
  • Dizziness
  • Anxiety
  • Insomnia
  • Digestive track problems
  • Blurred vision
  • Addiction
  • Menstrual problems
  • Sexual side effects
  • Joint disorders
  • Depression
  • Hypertension
  • Rashes
  • Acne

OK, I think you get the picture. You can look up these side effects and see for yourself. It gets worse if you happen to have any type of pre-existing conditions such as:

  • Coronary artery disease
  • Cardiovascular disease
  • Arteriosclerosis
  • Hyperthyroidism
  • Glaucoma
  • Anorexia

For these people the dangers of fast fat loss diet pills may be exasperated. The bottom line is this - Diet pills can be dangerous and should be used only under the supervision of a doctor and with extreme caution.

What we all have to realize is that weight loss and looking good can't just come from any bottle, pill or potion. It has to be an effort created by us to want to lose weight and lead a healthier life overall.

What can we do to get fast fat loss without pills?

Following a healthy lifestyle and making the changes necessary to achieve our goals is the first thing we have to realize. Whether you just want to lose a few pounds and look good at your daughter's wedding or aim to really get fit for the summer so you can impress the ladies, it's all a learned process.

You may be able to lose weight quickly by not eating, but it will all catch up to you just as fast and you will find that you will probably gain more weight than you lost.

Here are some things you must realize:

  • You can't starve yourself to weight loss
  • You can't eat a bag of chips and then take a diet pill
  • McDonald's has to become a distant memory (sorry Ronald)
  • It's all about healthy eating and exercise
  • You must make the commitment to change your life

Until you realize that there are no quick fixes for any problems in life, including losing weight, you will never really be happy with your efforts and will always be searching for the next big thing and that includes fast fat loss pills.
