With so many supplements and weight loss aids on the market it's easy to be confused about which ones to use and to curiously ask, "Are diet pills bad for you?"
A diet pill for fast weight loss has existed for decades and new ones arrive on the market every year boasting about how they can help you lose weight. The problem with these pills is that nothing can beat a long term, healthy, well thought-out diet and exercise plan in the long run.
We're living in a world of quick-fixes where we expect to remedy any type of situation at the snap of a finger instead of getting our nails dirty and working hard to achieve our goals! Many people have fallen ill or even died because they thought they were taking the most effective diet pills for their weight loss. As a result, diet pills, which are supposedly scrutinized by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), are routinely pulled off the shelves for one reason or another.
When was the last time you saw a diet manual or book pulled off a shelf because it stressed unhealthy practice. Side effects of a vast variety of diet pills include gas, diarrhea, and cramping. Some pills cause people to increase their blood pressure, resulting in heart attacks and strokes.
So, are diet pills bad for you? There are many variables and answers to this question, but one thing is certain; nothing comes even close to being effective for fat loss as a good, old-fashioned nutrition and exercise program.
