Are you looking for a meal plan to lose belly fat? Well, the scope of this article is too small for a complete plan. But, I can give you an outline and the reasons behind it.
Ever compare a gazelle to a rhinoceros? They eat differently don't they? That's because one is a grazer and one is a gorger. One is slender and one is massive. If you eat 4-6 smaller meals a day, grazing throughout your day like the gazelle, you will be less hungry and begin to lose weight and belly fat naturally. This is because each time you eat a meal you are expending energy to digest that same meal. It is as if the meal is carrying its own weight and paying for itself so to speak. Another reason is because it keeps insulin spikes in your blood stream to a minimum. 2-3 larger meals causes your insulin to spike and then crash which leaves you hungry again.
Now, let's talk about the kinds of things you should eat. Did you know that fat doesn't actually make you fat? In fact, it can actually make you leaner if you eat the right fat and don't take it to extremes. Fat is more dense than carbohydrates and protein and takes longer to digest. The diets of such people as the Pacific Islanders, Eskimos and Masai were all fat rich without any signs of obesity in the population. The problem with fats, as with many other ingredients has come about with the manufacturing and processing of foods.
Now, let's talk about the things you should avoid. There are two really bad ingredients in our food supply to avoid today. The first one is High Fructose Corn Syrup which replaced sucrose as a sweetener when manufacturers discovered it was cheaper. The problem is that it converts to fat faster than sucrose and is in virtually everything you buy, even "healthy alternatives". The other, as I'm sure you know by now, is trans fats. The refining process that these oil go through make them virtually toxic.
The best bit of advice I can give you is to eat things closer to the way nature intended you to. Eat Fresh fruits, nuts and vegetables. Eat lean beef, chicken, pork and Turkey.
