Losing Weight When Diets Fail

A lot of people try to lose weight and do not succeed. Why is that? Why do diets fail and more important, what's the key to losing weight when diets fail?

First thing you need to do is believe in yourself. There is a way for you to lose weight. I am sure of that. Even if this diet or that diet failed for you, you have not tried every diet in the world. I failed to lose weight a number of times, but in the end I succeeded. The main thing is that I never gave up trying.

The second thing you need to remember is that you didn't fail, the diets you used failed. You just made some wrong choices, you selected diets which aren't suitable for you. Diets fail for many reasons: some of them are just plain bad, others are only good in the beginning but are complete failures in the long run, others are excellent diets which are just specifically not right for you. Whatever the reason, you need to remember that you're not at fault.

So, what can you do to start losing weight when all diets fail? One way is to return to the basics:

1. Maintain a healthy diet - cut out all the fried and fast food, stop drinking sugary drinks, lay off the white bread. Eat more vegetables, fresh fruit, lean protein, and complex carbs like whole wheat pasta or wild rice. Remember to drink more water, as cold water leads to more rapid calorie burn.

2. Become more active - Doing even a little exercise can get you to lose a lot of weight fast. Remember, you don't need to spend hours at the gym. Even a little activity is much better than none.

3. Maintain an overall healthy lifestyle - try drinking less alcohol, sleeping a little more hours, reducing stress, and basically enjoy life.

The basics are often overlooked but often provide excellent results.
