There Is No Secret

You've probably seen advertisements for pills and for special exercises that are supposed to make you lose fat in your stomach. The fact is there is no such secret that will instantly make you get rid of your love handles. The secret is that there is no secret! The reason you have extra fat in your midsection is because your body fat percentage is too high.

You see, as long as you have excess fat it's going to be held in your stomach because that's what type of body you have. You can't change your body type, you can only lower your body fat!

Choose The Right Diet

Do not waste your time with old fashioned low calorie, low fat, or low carb diets. And definitely don't waste your time with any crazy starvation diets like "The Grapefruit Diet" or "The Cabbage Soup Diet." These approaches will actually do you far more harm than good. None of these diets are a long term solution that you'll be able to stick with long enough to get rid of your love handles.

A big problem with low calorie diets is that they are all about eating less rather than eating the right things. This will only slow down your metabolism and make your body hold onto fat even harder. Instead you need to take the "fat burning" approach. You need to eat the foods that will force your body to burn fat rather than just trying to starve yourself!

Exercise

The most effective exercise you can do for fat burning is strength training. Why? Because having more muscle on your body will turn your body into a fat burning machine!
